Invoked

I bought this film for £5 in Asda. Just one of those films you see on offer and decide to pick it up whilst doing the food shopping.
The synopsis made it sound like a really good film. I'm not one for giving out spoilers but I think this film calls for a few, although... I wouldn't really call them spoilers, you'll know what's gonna happen throughout most of the film.

However, I wasn't overly impressed with it.
Essentially what happens is five Irish people head out into this old abandoned bed and breakfast, they decided to play the ouija game, makeshift style. They didn't have a board so they made it out of paper.
When they summon the spirit, the girls get scared so they try and say goodbye to the spirit.
The spirit of course says no. And you can pretty much imagine the rest of it. It's really predictable.

It's one of those jumpy films that you kind of forget about immediately after watching. I don't know if I'm being to harsh or something but for anyone interested in horror films that wants to watch it after reading this review, then either stream it or I'll lend you the DVD. Don't waste your money on it.

What I forgot to mention is that it's filmed from their camcorders, so if a room goes dark, you literally can't see anything.

I feel like this is a really short review but I don't have anything else to really say on the matter if I'm completely honest.
